Police Appreciation Week

May 15th-21st is National Police Week.

This is a time to show support and appreciation for law enforcement and the work they do to keep our local communities safe.

Law enforcement officers play an important role in responding to disasters and emergencies, coordinating evacuations, and providing security while maintaining order. They are often the first responders on the scene, working to protect and serve their communities.

In the aftermath of a disaster, law enforcement officers play a vital role in the recovery process. These officers ensure the safety of communities, enforce laws and regulations, and support those in need.

After natural disasters, law enforcement officers are some of the first to respond to the front lines. They work tirelessly to ensure those impacted by the disaster remain secure and safe.

Police officers work alongside other first responders like firefighters and paramedics to respond to crises as safely and efficiently as possible.

Aside from enforcing laws and responding to public safety matters, police officers also strive to learn about their community through outreach programs. These programs are structured in hopes to build and strengthen trust between law enforcement and the communities they strive to serve.

We are grateful for the dedication and bravery of law enforcement officers. Thank you to those who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. We stand with them during Police Appreciation Week and every other week.
