Record Attendance at 9th Annual Harris County CERT Rodeo in Texas

The Harris County CERT Rodeo was held February 7 on the grounds of the Harris County Fire Marshall’s Office. There were over 550 attendees, making it the second largest gathering in the nine years this event has been held. Teams from Harris, Montgomery, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Dallas, Chambers and Liberty Counties were present.

The Harris County Citizen Corps uses the model of a quintessential Texas event – a rodeo – to sharpen the skills of Community Emergency Response Teams. The rodeo has 10 stations designed to challenge and educate participants.

David Treffer, ProPac’s sales representative for Texas, was in attendance. ProPac participated in sponsoring the event and provided an 11 ft x 16 inflatable shelter which served the event as a First Aid/Medical Tent.
