What is CERT?
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) became a national program in 1993. CERT educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
One of the most important tools of a CERT Member is their kit and the items inside it. According to LAFD CERT, there are multiple items that are required to be in your kit. Other items are not mandatory, but are recommended. Check the below items against what you have in your kit.
